Flowers

Flowers have baffled scientists for as long as they have been adored by anyone. They are simply a mystery to modern science though the leading theory of their origin appears to be easy and rapid mutations that proved to be advantageous and were quickly adopted and prolifically spread.

Flowers are everywhere the environment will permit, which is on nearly every continent. Why they are so beautiful to people may seem like a mystery but their sight triggers an ancient response in humans indicating food is nearby as many flowers are indicative of a much tastier treat somewhere else on the plant. Careful though, there may be another reason which is the human intrigue of danger, some of the prettiest flowers are also the most poisonous.

Today, flowers are grown in almost any environment that will support them including a variety of greenhouses and hot houses in colder climates. They have a multi-billion dollar international market that ships and grows these beauties around the world.
